You know how doctors look so young these days? Well they are. When dad had reconstructive surgery on his leg after the cancer operations he elected to have a spinal block and stay conscious during the skin grafting, but he was still wonky & floaty headed. The plastic surgeon doing the grafting had music playing and Last Train to Clarksville came on. He knew the song but not who did it originally. Neither did the nurses. But the patient spoke up: The Monkees. Wonder how often a patient joins in the operating room conversation??!!

The mom is old enough that she knows of this group. Now the song is stuck in her head and I have to listen to her try and sing.
