All of us here at Meezer Tails would like to take a moment to remember all the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep all of us free, and to also honor those currently serving our country here and all over the world so that we remain free.
Thank you and Happy Memorial Day
In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army
IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Happy Memorial Day to you and your family, Meezers! We hope you have a terrific holiday without any rain!
It is interesting that this is a holiday both here and in the USA. But you are having Memorial Day and we have what's called Spring Bank Holiday today, it's just a holiday from work. I assume that Memorial Day is like our Remembrance Sunday, right? Remembrance Sunday is when we remember those who died in war. But we have it on 11th November because that was Armistice Day when the First World War ended.
Best of memorial days to you and yours, Meezers! Loverly poem. And how is Ms. Trixie doing these days?
That's wonderful. Happy Memorial Day to efurryone.
Hope your Memorial Day is as nice as ours! We had Momma home to ourselves all day. She told us we had to have a special moment of purrayer for all of those who gave their lives to keep us safe.
