Turkey is like the holy grail of thanksgiving!! To be deprived of it's marvelous scents wafting through the house, well....that's inexcusable. Even our mom tosses a turkey breast into the oven and calls it good.
If the mom is going to do non-traditional Thanksgiving foods, maybe next year she'll do a HAM!
Our mum likes to say "roast beast" too. To the point that she has ordered a "roast beast" sandwich when she was at Arby's once. She is very silly.
