MILES
Our grammie almost went to the people rainbow bridge on Sunday. She was eating some turkey when she started choking and passed out and could not breathe. The mom tried that heimlich thing and called 911 and those firemen and paramedics and bambalance people showed up and shoved things in her throat and took her to the hospital. the mom said that she was not responsive to anything - she would not wake up. The mom was really really scairt and shaking and crying. Eventually they moved grammie to someplace called ICU and she started to wake up a few hours later. But her throat started swelling around the tube and they was afraid that if they pulled it out she would stop breathing again and if they didn't her throat would swell more around it. Grammie waked up some last night late and knew where she was and was able to shake her head and answer questions - and she got more awake this morning. The mom wented to the hospital place and the people v-e-t-s said they were going to pull the tube out, but no matter what happened they could not put it back in. So they pulled it out. And grammie gagged a couple of times - and then started breathing on her own! and talking a little while later! It was really a miracle 'acause no one thought she would wake up or know what was going on. The mom says that grammie is a "tough old bird". I don't think that's a compliment. Anyway, grammie will be in the hospital for a few more days prolly.
The (almost) daily adventures of Sammy, Miles and Nicholas Meezer. One is sweet and calm, one his happy and playful. The other? um......not so much.
